Kuwait - Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait shed 0.5% or 33.66 points to close at 6,759.40 points.
The weighted index went down 0.08%, while the Kuwait-15 index added 0.05%.
The market’s liquidity increased to KWD 12.41 million on Tuesday from KWD 11.36 million on Monday, while trading volume decreased to 109.41 million shares from 116.06 million.
The oil and gas led the losing sectors and fell 1.73%, weighted by Energy House Holding which declined 4.6%.
The real estate sector lost 0.86%, after Tamdeen Real Estate levelled down 5.9%.
Moreover, the industries sector slipped 0.47%, on the back of UPAC which led the red zone and dropped 13.2%, while Gulf Franchising Company hiked 6.67%.
On the other hand, the banks sector added 0.5%, backed by the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) and Burgan Bank which advanced 3.23% each.
Aayan Leasing was the most active in terms of traded volume with 17.9 million shares; the stock went down 1.02%. Zain topped traded values with KWD 1.9 million. The stock fell 2.25%.
