Boursa Kuwait closes Wednesday higher

Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait on Wednesday closed in the green zone, on the back of nine sectors.

The price index gained 0.86% or 57 points to close at 6,655.97 points, the weighted index rose by 0.55%, and the Kuwait-15 index levelled up by 0.64%.

The market’s trading value increased to KWD 16.26 million from KWD 12.83 million in the previous session, after the trading volume grew to 182.17 million shares from 135.07 million.

The financial services segment topped nine gainers with 1.66%, on the back of Amwal which rose by 8.06% to be the top winner.

Meanwhile, the telecom sector led three decliners with 0.95%, dragged by Viva which lost 4.55%. 

Remal was the most active stock on which 17.6 million shares were traded, falling 1.64%.

NBK recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 2.5 million, up 1.52%.
