Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait went up 0.42% or 27.74 points to close Wednesday’s session in the green zone.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices went up 0.13% and 0.22%, respectively.
Companies are expected to disclose their income statements of the third quarter, which will be the main controller of Boursa Kuwait, in addition to the entry to the EM list, deputy of the investment research department at KAMCO Raed Diab told Mubasher.
Diab noted that the price index needs to preserve its gains achieved on Wednesday, otherwise, it will fall to 6,600 points, and may also head lower to the support level of 6,535 points.
The industrial sector topped seven gainers with 1.55%, endorsed by Nafais which jumped by 20% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the insurance segment led four decliners with a fall of 0.71%.
Boursa Kuwait’s trading value increased by 5.7% to reach KWD 30.34 million on Wednesday compared to KWD 28.71 million on Tuesday, after the trading volume grew by 3.9% to 168.34 million shares from 162.07 million.
Zain recorded the highest turnover of KWD 8.54 million, rising 2.5%, while The Securities House was the most active stock on which 19.31 million shares were traded, falling by 4.62%.
