Boursa Kuwait closes Wednesday in green

Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Boursa Kuwait ended Wednesday’s session 0.1% or 6.77 points higher at 6,732.07 points.

The weighted index rose by 0.66%, and the Kuwait-15 index gained 0.95%.

The market’s liquidity shrank to KWD 20.38 million from KWD 21.27 million in the previous session, and the trading volume decreased to 256.31 million shares from 273.50 million.

The real estate segment topped four winners with 0.81%, on the back of REAM which levelled up by 8.06%.

Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector led seven decliners with 1.68%, dragged by IPG which lost 6.76%.

Mayadeen was the top winner with a rise of 9.8%, while Bayan led losers with a fall of 6.78%.

Sokouk was the most active stock on which 30.4 million shares were exchanged, falling 1%.

Zain recorded the highest turnover at KWD 1.7 million, down 1.12%.
