Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session with a grouped decline; the benchmark price index dropped 0.28% or 17.54 points to reach 6,196.58 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.73% and 0.84%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased to KWD 13.42 million on Wednesday compared to KWD 11.45 million on Tuesday, after the trading volume decreased to 53.18 million shares from 59.21 million.
The banks segment led decliners with 1.22%, dragged by the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) which retreated by 5.24%.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector topped four gainers with 0.84%, backed by Real Estate Asset Management (REAM) which added 13.64%.
The oil and gas segment edged up 0.12% in line with the 20% jump of Burgan Drilling which topped the winners.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) was the most active stock on which 6.4 million shares were traded at a total value of KWD 3.6 million, falling 0.35%.
