Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait registered the most active trades in more than one year on Wednesday, closing in the green for the second session in a row.
The All-Share Market went up 1.11% or 57.26 points to close at 5,236.27 points. Similarly, both the Main and Premier markets added 0.51% and 1.41%, respectively.
The banking segment topped eight gainers with 1.8%, while the consumer goods sector led three decliners with 0.9%.
Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction and Contracting (KCPC) headed the winners with a surge of 31.25%, while National Holding led the losers with 8.2%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 49.6% to KWD 49.09 million on Wednesday compared to KWD 32.82 million in the previous session after the trading volume grew by 34.5% to 262.8 million shares from 194.63 million.
Kuwait Finance House (KFH) posted the highest trading value of KWD 10.83 million, the stock added 3.14% to reach the highest level in ten years.
Investors was the most active stock on which nearly 27 million shares were exchanged, the stock went up 2% to register the most active trades in a year and a half.
