Kuwait - Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait saw a positive performance in Tuesday’s trading session as it maintained its early morning gains on the back of nine sectors.
The price index went up 0.96% or 63.98 points, and closed at the level of 6,726.87 points, while the weighted index gained 0.23% and the Kuwait-15 index edged up 0.08%.
The market indices’ performance was supported by nine sectors.
The consumer goods sector was in the lead, as it grew 4.10% on the back of Eyas which surged 19.96%.
The industrial index increased 1.40%, as Educational Holding Group gained 18.82%.
Financial services added 0.9% as Umm Al Qaiwain led the session’s gainers and jumped 20%, while Al Aman Investment was the biggest loser and dropped 8.81%.
On the other hand, two sectors ended the session in red, one of which was oil and gas which lost 0.69%, as Senergy fell 7.5%.
The banks sector index also slipped 0.09%, as NBK and GBK declined 4.69% and 0.42%, respectively.
Traded value decreased to KWD 5.10 million compared to KWD 7.72 million on Monday.
Similarly, traded volume shrunk to 23.67 million shares from 46.51 million shares in Monday’s session.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock in terms of traded volume with 2.4 million shares, while Agility registered the highest turnover with KWD 1.17 million.
