Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait saw a positive performance on Wednesday, as indices saw a group rise, making up for some of its losses in the last three sessions.
The price index went up 0.6% or 37.06 points to the level of 6,180.07 points, while the weight index gained 0.88%.
Similarly, Kuwait 15 rose, for the first time in November, by 1.39%.
As for the market sectors, banks grew 2%, as Kuwait International Bank (KIB) surged 8.8%, followed by Boubyan with 3.2%.
The real estate index increased by 1.75%, on the back of the majority of its stocks, with four stocks topping the session’s top gainers, led Al Argan, which jumped 19.7%.
On the other hand, the industrial sector slipped 0.7%, as Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding fell 11.4%, while Human Soft retreated 2.8%.
Today, traded values declined by 45% to KWD 21.19 million down from KWD 38.51 million last session.
Traded volumes also decreased 43.1% to 99.67 million shares from 175.31 million shares on Tuesday.
Financial analyst Talal Al Youssef said that the market indices redound is usually achieved with high turnovers, which was not the case for today’s session.
