Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s session 0.11%, or 6.75 points, lower at 6,155.6 points.
Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.7% and 1.15%, respectively.
The telecom segment led six decliners with 1.1%, dragged by Aan, Zain, and Viva which dropped 5.08%, 1.37%, and 2.03%, respectively.
The banking sector also levelled down 0.86% in line with the 2% fall of Burgan Bank.
Meanwhile, the oil and gas segment topped three gainers with 1.56%, backed by Burgan Drilling which rose 4.6%.
Boubyan Holding led losers with 18.23%, while Kuwait Cable topped winners with 20%.
On Monday, Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 81.9% to KWD 8.02 million from KWD 4.41 million on Sunday after the trading volume increased by 106% to 44.95 million shares from 21.82 million.
Mabanee Co. posted the highest turnover of KWD 1.53 million, falling 3.67%.
Unicap was the most active stock on which 7.03 million shares were traded, rising 4.74%.
