Boursa Kuwait down amid active trades Monday

Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended Monday’s trading session with a collective decline, dragged down by the fall of five sectors.

The price index lost 0.1% or 7.1 points to close Monday at 7,008.20 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices declined 0.2% and 0.27%, respectively.

The real estate sector led decliners by dropping 0.93%, dragged by REAM which declined 5.56% to be the top loser.

The banks sector fell 0.74% in line with a decline in five stocks led by Ithmaar Holding BSC with 5.56%.

On the contrary, seven sectors climbed, headed by oil and gas with 0.89%, supported by the increase in NAPESCO and Energy House of 1.67% and 5.81%, respectively.

Turnover reached KWD 29.48 million on Monday from KWD 25.22 million on Sunday, as trading volume amounted to 498.1 million shares from 354.88 million.

Abyaar was the most active stock with 86.3 million shares exchanged at KWD 2.6 million.
