Boursa Kuwait ends Monday higher

Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session in the green with a massive rise of all indices.

The All-Share Market index, the Main Market index, and Premier Market index increased 0.36%, 0.86%, and 0.08%, respectively.

The basic materials sector rose 1.7%, whereas the insurance segment fell 1.4%.

Sultan Center Food’s (Sultan) stock was the best performer after jumping 22.1%, whereas Real Estate Trade Centers’ (Marakez) stock retreated 10.33%. 

The bourse’s traded volume soared 120.8% to 96.64 million shares on Monday, against 43.76 million on Sunday, while liquidity surged 88.1% to KWD 17 million, compared to KWD 9.04 million.

Aayan Leasing’s stock was the most active in terms of traded volume after 9 million shares were exchanged, while National Bank of Kuwait’s (NBK) stock was the most active in terms of trading value after generating KWD 2.67 million in a turnover.

NBK’s stock inched up 0.13%, whereas Aayan Leasing’s stock tumbled 5.7%.
