Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait closes Monday’s session on a positive note.
The price index rose 37.84 points or 0.57% to the mark of 6,679.62 points.
Likewise, the weighted index and Kuwait 15 ended higher 0.81% each.
Nine major sectors saw a rise led by the banks sector which added 1.55%, after Ithmaar Bank hiked 8.5%.
The oil and gas sector increased 0.79% backed by Senergy Holding Co and National Petroleum Services (Napesco).
On the other hand, the telecom sector fell 1.55%, on the back of Hits Telecom Holding lost 4.2%.
The real estate sector also decreased 0.20% after Al Enmaa Real Estate dropped 7.41%.
Turnover levelled up to KWD 97.02 million from KWD 94.27 million on Sunday, while volumes also increased to 1.04 billion shares versus 891.63 million shares a day yesterday.
Abyaar Real Estate Development was the most active in terms of traded volume of 85.83 million shares, while Agility led the traded values with KWD 7.39 million.
