Boursa Kuwait ends Monday on mixed note

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session with a mixed performance after the Main and All-Share markets fell 1.1% and 0.27%, respectively, while the Premier Market index inched up 0.04%.

The bourse’s liquidity grew to KWD 22.18 million from KWD 19.35 million, whereas traded volume stood at 76.03 million shares, down from 85.32 million on Sunday.

The consumer services sector topped the gainers with 0.95%, while the basic materials sector inched up 0.36%.

On the flipside, the oil and gas sector was the worst performer after losing 0.33%.

Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment led the winners after surging 20.78%, whereas Kuwait Remal Real Estate was the worst performer after dropping 19.94%.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH), which inched down 0.77%, spearheaded the bourse in terms of traded volume after 6.02 million shares were exchanged, whereas The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), which levelled up 1.16%, posted the highest liquidity with KWD 4.38 million.
