Boursa Kuwait ends Sunday on positive note

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday in green after the All-Share Market index gained 25.85 points, or 0.47%, to 5,544.88 points, while the Main Market index inched up 0.37%, and the Premier Market index grew 0.51%.

The telecommunications sector led gainers with 1.4%, while the oil and gas sector was the worst performer with 1.5%.

The banking and telecommunications sectors boosted the bourse to the green zone, amid attracting most of the market liquidity, capital market analyst Murad Al Damghi told Mubasher.

At the technical level, Al Damghi stated that the All-Share Market index increased by 5% in the last seven sessions, which may lead it to exceed 5,800 points over the coming period.

The Energy House Holding’s stock was the best performer with 5.93%, whereas Amar for Finance and Leasing’s stock led losers with 10%.

Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity tumbled 9.8% to KWD 40.18 million on Sunday from KWD 44.53 million in the previous session, whereas the trading volume hit 200.36 million shares, up from 199.04 a session before.

Kuwait Finance House’s (KFH) stock, up 0.88%, topped in terms of liquidity with KWD 6.91 million, while the stock of Aayan Leasing and Investment, down 2.5%, in terms of trading volume after 22.33 million shares were exchanged.
