Boursa Kuwait ends Thursday on negative note

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session in the red after the Premier Market index inched down 0.42%, followed by the All-Share Market index with 0.36%, and the Main Market index with 0.22%.

The bourse’s trading volume hit 91.9 million shares exchanged through 3,400 transactions at a turnover of KWD 21.8 million.

The industrials sector was the worst performer after losing 0.49%, followed by the banking segment with 0.45%.

On the other hand, the basic materials sector levelled up 0.56% and the oil and gas sector inched up 0.33%.

Credit Rating and Collection’s (Tahssilat) stock was the bourse’s worst performer after decreasing 7.59%, whereas the stock of Injazzat Real Estate Development was the best performer after gaining 8.97%.

The Gulf Bank of Kuwait’s (GBK) stock, which added 1.13%, topped the market in terms of volume and value after 14.9 million shares were exchanged, with a liquidity of KWD 3.9 million.
