Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended Tuesday’s trading session with grouped rise in line with higher oil prices.
The price index gained 0.94% or 62.73 points to reach 6,742.35 points, the weighted index rose by 0.76%, and Kuwait-15 levelled up by 0.83%.
The benchmark index of Boursa Kuwait is still giving positive indicator, targeting the levels of 6,970 and 7,140 points, capital market analyst Aya Magdy said.
The banks segment topped the gainers with a rise of 1.10% on the back of KFH and NBK which gained 1.64% and 1.41% respectively.
Meanwhile, the basic materials segment led the decliners with 0.9%, dragged by Boubyan Petrochemical which lost 1.75%.
The telecom sector retreated by 0.26% after Hits Telecom levelled down by 2.9%.
Liquidity shrank to KWD 75.24 million after trading volume decreased to 937.82 million shares.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 90.78 million shares were exchanged through 1,069 transactions, with liquidity reaching KWD 5.89 million. The stock rose by 7.8% to 69 fils.
