Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait closed Tuesday's trading session on a varied note amid lower turnover.
The All-Share Market and Premier Market indices fell by 0.03% and 0.06%, respectively, while the Main Market and BK Market 50 indices went up by 0.05% and 0.15%, in that order.
The market’s turnover shrank by 11.6% to close the mid-week session at KWD 16.6 million, compared to KWD 18.78 million in the previous session, whereas the trading volume rose by 13.1% to 85.21 million shares from 75.33 million on Monday.
The technology sector headed the losers after sliding by 4.24%, while the basic materials sector topped the gainers and advanced by 0.66%.
Bayan Investment Co led the risers with 24.04%, while IFA Hotels and Resorts headed the decliners and fell by 12.32%.
Ahli United Bank – Bahrain (AUB Bahrain), down by 2.31%, spearheaded the market with a trading volume of 39.03 million shares exchanged at a turnover of KWD 6.7 million.
