Boursa Kuwait ends Wednesday down

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session on a decline amid low trade.

The All-Share and Premier markets went down by 1.55% and 1.73%, respectively, whereas the Main and BK Main 50 indices fell by 1.08% and 1.29%, in that order.

The market’s turnover amounted to KWD 20.33 million, down by 36.2% when compared to KWD 33.32 million a day earlier. The trading volume decreased by 30.1% to 99.1 million shares from 141.72 million.

The telecom segment headed nine fallers with 6.4%, whereas the oil and gas sector was the only riser by 0.02%.

Kuwait and Middle East Financial Investment (KMEFIC) came on top of the decliners with 14.16%, whereas Al Enmaa Real Estate Company led the gainers with 8%.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH), down 0.63%, posted the largest turnover of KWD 2.92 million, while Aayan Leasing and Investment, which declined by 3.42%, led the trading activity through the exchange of 18.3 million shares.
