Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday, the last session of this week, in December, and in 2017, with a grouped increase, for the second day in a row.
The benchmark price index added 0.58% or 36.7 points to close at 6,408.01 points, the weighted index levelled up 0.18%, and the Kuwait-15 rose by 0.3%.
The real estate segment topped seven gainers with 1.67%, backed by Real Estate Asset Management (REAM) which grew by 19.8% to top the winners.
Meanwhile, consumer services companies led four decliners with 4.03%, dragged by IFA Hotels which lost 39.8% to be the top loser.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 41.6% to KWD 10.07 million on Thursday from KWD 7.11 million in the previous session after the trading volume grew by 80.3% to 90.19 million shares from 50.01 million.
Zain posted the highest liquidity of KWD 1.41 million, while Investors was the most active stock on which 20.13 million shares were exchanged.
