Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait registered a positive performance in the week ended on 17 January, extending its winning streak for the third consecutive week.
The All-Share Market index increased 18.7 points, or 0.36%, to finish the week at 5,237.42 points, compared to 5,218.72 in the prior week.
The Premier Market index rose 27 points, or 0.5%, reaching 5,480.34 points, up from 5,453.33 points a week earlier, while the Main Market index went up 6.4 points, or 0.13%, to 4,797.86 points, compared to 4,791.47 points.
Over the course of this week, the bourse’s liquidity tumbled 18% to KWD 134.34 million, versus KWD 163.88 million, while traded volume declined 30.9%, reaching 783.24 million shares, compared to 1.132 million a week before.
Transactions slid 19.5%, to 27,250 in this week, against 33,830 deals in the week before.
Boursa Kuwait’s market capitalisation inched up 0.4%, or KWD 120 million, to KWD 29.93 million, compared to KWD 29.81 million.
