Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session in the red zone; the price index lost 0.27% or 18.7 points to close at 6,823.95 points, the weighted index fell by 0.15%, and the Kuwait-15 index edged down 0.04%.
The telecom segment led seven decliners with 1.1%, dragged by Hits Telecom which lost 3.45%.
Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector topped four gainers with 0.41%, backed by Burgan Drilling which jumped by 20%.
Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity increased to KWD 9.24 million on Wednesday from KWD 8.08 million in the previous session, after 70.21 million shares were exchanged compared to 61.04 million.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 13.91 million shares were exchanged at a value of KWD 2.3 million, falling by 1.8%.
