Boursa Kuwait falls at Wednesday’s open

Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait tumbled to the red zone at the opening of Wednesday’s session.

The price index lost 0.29% or 19.74 points to reach 6,861.46 points by 10:05am Kuwait time. Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices lost 0.34% and 0.38%, respectively.

The financial segment led eight decliners with 0.82%, dragged by Amwal which levelled down 6%.

Meanwhile, the industrial sector was the only gainer with 0.38%, on the back of Educational Holding which gained 9.8% to be the top winner.

The market’s turnover amounted to KWD 8.5 million, after 113.3 million shares were traded through nearly 2,200 transactions.

NBK recorded the highest trading value of about KWD 856,900.
