Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait registered a decrease in the first week of October in line with a decline in trading volume.
The All-Share index declined by 0.53% or 27.2 points to 5,111.34 points by the week ended on 4 October, compared to 5,138.52 points in the previous week.
The Premier index levelled down 0.58% or 31 points to 5,314.9 points, compared to 5,362.75 points a week ago.
The Main index retreated 0.43% or 20.5 points to 4,741.54 points to 4,762.03 points last week.
Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity is expected to increase starting from November in line with the disclosure by Boursa Kuwait Securities Company of implementing new investment tools, capital market analyst Hassan Al Kandry told Mubasher.
Turnover shrank by 38.9% to total KWD 63.59 million this week from KWD 104.06 million a week ago.
Trading volume decreased by 27.2% to 379.06 million shares from 520.89 million.
The number of transactions declined by 21.1% to about 15,690 from nearly 19,890.
