Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait edged up 0.01% or 0.71 points to close Monday’s session at 6,927.03 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.41% and 0.19%, respectively.
The consumer goods segment topped five gainers with 4.05%, backed by Americana which rose by 8.11%.
Meanwhile, the consumer services sector led six decliners with 1.9%, dragged by Eyas which lost 5.9%.
Al Madar was the top winner with a rise of 19.5%, while Afaq led losers with 16.67%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover increased by 41.4% to KWD 37.34 million on Monday compared to KWD 26.4 million on Sunday, after the trading volume grew by 32% to 158.56 million shares from 120.14 million.
Zain registered the highest liquidity of KWD 7.22 million, rising 1.4%.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 17.86 million shares were traded, falling 1.08%.
