Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended Sunday’s trading session in the green zone, with gains of blue chips and popular stocks.
The price index rose by 1.33% or 91 points to close at 6,943.24 points, and both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 1.39% and 1.87% respectively.
Investors were encouraged to purchase based on the financial statements of leading companies, namely banks, as well as rapid trading and the good levels some shares have reached, technical analyst Nayef Al-Anzi said.
The basic materials segment topped the gainers with 6.07% on the back of Kuwait Foundry which gained 9.43%.
The real estate sector rose by Mazaya with a growth of 8.06%.
Liquidity increased to KWD 75.46 million, while trading volume shrank to 770.32 million shares.
The price index is currently targeting levels between 6,895 and 7,101 points, technical analyst Faisal Boushahri said.
