Mubasher: The main index of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session 0.31% or 21.33 points lower at 6,890.37 points.
Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices went down 0.35% and 0.22%, respectively.
The benchmark price index has rebounded, for the second consecutive session, from the support level of 6,868 points, capital market analyst Nawaf Al Oun said.
The insurance segment topped decliners with 2.6%, dragged by Gulf Insurance which lost 9.7% or 85 fils to close at 790 fils.
Meanwhile, the financial services segment topped gainers with 12.14%, backed by Kuwait Cable which rose by 16.67% to be the top winner.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank by 25.7% to reach KWD 20.89 million on Monday from KWD 28.11 million on Sunday, after the trading volume increased by 5.6% to 160 million shares from 151.53 million.
Al Imtiaz recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 3.3 million, falling 1.67%.
Abyaar was the most active stock on which 26.76 million shares were traded, rising 7.06%.
