Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session in the red zone; the price index lost 0.73% or 50 points to 6,793.06 points, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices fell by 0.72% each.
The banks sector led decliners with 1.12%, dragged by Ithmaar which fell by 3%.
The real estate segment edged down by 0.89%, impacted by the 6.73% decline of Sanam.
Meanwhile, the basic materials sector gained 0.99%, on the back of Kuwait Foundry which rose by 6.9% to be the top winner.
The market’s trading value shrank to KWD 11.36 million from KWD 18.91 million on Sunday, and the trading volume decreased to 116.06 million shares from 174.68 million.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 27.22 million shares were exchanged at a value of KWD 1.35 million.
