Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session 0.12% or 8 points lower at 6,800.91 points.
Similarly, the weighted index retreated 0.04%, while the Kuwait-15 index edged up 0.02%.
The benchmark index has closed above the support level of 6,750 points, with a possibility to reach the 7,000-point level, technical capital market analyst Ibrahim Al-Filkawy said.
The price index is expected to reach 6,740 points, a temporary support level, if the index exits its current support level, capital market analyst Nawaf Al-Oun told Mubasher.
The telecom segment topped five gainers with a rise of 0.7%, backed by Viva which went up 1.6%.
Meanwhile, the financial services sector led six decliners with a fall of 0.52%, dragged by KMEFIC which lost 8.3%.
The market’s trading value increased to KWD 14.87 million on Monday from KWD 9.16 million in the previous session, after the trading volume grew to 78.31 million shares from 50.74 million.
