Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Monday’s trading session 0.08% or 5.37 points lower at 6,908.9 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.12% and 0.08%, respectively.
The benchmark price index of the stock market is facing resistance at 6,925 points this week; if this resistance is broken, the main index will rise to reach 7,000 points, capital market analyst Ibrahim Al Filkawy said.
The oil and gas segment led three decliners with 1.35% in line with the 2.74% fall of Napesco.
Meanwhile, the consumer services sector topped eight gainers with a rise of 1.13%.
Amwal was the top loser with a decline of 8% or 3.5 fils to close at 40 fils.
Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity decreased by 11.5% to total KWD 65.95 million on Monday compared to KWD 74.5 million in the previous session, as the trading volume shrank by 15% to 11.39 million shares from 13.4 million.
Zain recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 1.557 million, up 0.4%.
