Kuwait – Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait gained 0.51% or 34.38 points to close Sunday’s session at 6,760.13 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices rose by 0.20% and 0.25%, respectively.
The consumer goods segment topped nine gainers with 2.69%, on the back of Americana and Danah Al Safat which levelled up by 8.13% and 1.05%, respectively.
The industrial sector also rose by 1.04%, endorsed by Metal and Recycling which jumped by 18.2% to be the top winner. This is the stock’s highest level in two years.
Meanwhile, the financial services segment led three decliners with 0.20%, dragged by Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment which declined by 19.9% to be the top loser.
The market’s liquidity shrank to KWD 5.68 million from KWD 14.39 million in the previous session, after 40.85 million shares were exchanged from 155.86 million.
Abyar was the most active stock on which 3.8 million shares were traded, rising 1.57%.
NBK recorded the highest turnover of KWD 1.95 million, falling by 0.87%.
