Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait rose at the end of Sunday’s trading session as the banks and consumer services sectors topped gainers.
The price index grew 0.62% or 42.41 points to reach 6,853.09 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 1.48 % and 2.07%, respectively.
Nine sectors went up, led by consumer services with 1.94%, supported by an 11.38% increase in Eyas, while Osos Holding rose to a record high.
The banks sector levelled up 1.6%, as the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) grew 2.7% - a two-month high.
On the other hand, three sectors declined led by the telecommunications sector with 0.69%, after Kuwait Telecommunications Company (VIVA) and Hits Telecom Holding lost 2.36% and 1.68%, respectively.
Trading volume reached 45.48 million shares with a turnover of KWD 12.2 million.
NBK’s stock was the most active in terms of liquidity with KWD 3.38 million, while Ithmaar led in terms of trading volume through exchanging 4.93 million shares.
