Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Sunday’s trading session with a mixed performance; the price index edged down 0.02% or 1.4 points to close at 6,660.7 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.47% and 0.39%, respectively.
The consumer services segment topped seven gainers with 0.8%, backed by IFA Hotels which rose by 6.8%.
The financial services sector also gained 0.51%, in line with the 14.6% growth of Credit Rating and Collection (Tahssilat) which topped the winners.
Meanwhile, the real estate segment led three decliners with 1.08%, dragged by REAM which lost 16.5%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank by 35% to KWD 29.31 million on Sunday compared to KWD 45.07 million in the previous session, after the trading volume decreased by 20.7% to 175.94 million shares from 221.84 million.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) recorded the highest turnover of KWD 5.84 million, falling 0.13%.
PetroGulf was the most active stock on which 19.9 million shares were traded, declining by 8.77%.
