Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session 0.59% or 41 points lower at 6,805.31 points.
Similarly, the weighted index edged down 0.06%, while the Kuwait-15 index gained 1.47%.
The benchmark index kept its support level of 6,804 points, with expectations to rebound in the beginning of next week as long as it does not break the 6,740-point level, technical capital market analyst Nawaf Al-Oun said.
Boursa Kuwait’s oil and gas segment led nine decliners with 6.24%, dragged by Napesco which lost 12.6%.
Meanwhile, the technology and consumer services sectors were the only gainers with a rise of 2.6% and 1.17%, respectively.
The market’s trading value decreased to KWD 13.78 million on Thursday from KWD 16.85 million in the previous session, after the trading volume shrank to 100.55 million shares from 148.29 million.
Zain recorded the highest turnover of KWD 2.1 million, up 0.44%.
Al Mal was the most active stock on which 11.78 million shares were exchanged, falling 5.46%.
