Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait went down 0.04% or 2.58 points to close Thursday’s session at 6,685.23 points.
Meanwhile, both the Kuwait-15 and weighted indices gained 0.29% and 0.20%, respectively.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank to KWD 10.24 million on Thursday compared to KWD 15.44 million on Wednesday after the trading volume decreased to 76.46 million shares from 107.55 million.
Oil and gas companies led six gainers with 1.59%, dragged by IPG which lost 6.98%.
Meanwhile, the banking sector topped four gainers with 0.53%, backed by the Commercial Bank of Kuwait (CBK) which rose by 5%.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 11.2 million shares were exchanged.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 1.4 million.
