Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Tuesday’s trading session with a mixed performance, as the 45-day period of disclosing quarterly financial statements comes to an end.
The price index went up 0.28% or 19.05 points to reach 6,725.30 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated by 0.07% and 0.17%, respectively.
The market’s turnover increased to KWD 21.27 million from KWD 18.12 million on Monday, and the trading volume leapt to 273.50 million shares from 166.47 million.
The consumer goods segment topped gainers with 1.70%, on the back of Dana which rose 4%.
Meanwhile, the oil and gas sector led six decliners with 1.23%, dragged by IPG which lost 6.33%.
Bayan was the top winner with a rise of 9.26%, while Yiaco led losers with a drop of 8.15%.
Abyaar was the most active stock on which 28.71 million shares were exchanged, rising 8.16%.
KFH recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 1.98 million, up 1.01%.
