Kuwait – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Boursa Kuwait edged up 0.03% to close Tuesday’s session at 6,776.72 points.
Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.27% and 0.52%, respectively.
The consumer services segment topped gainers with 3.34%, backed by Eyas which rose 9.24% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the consumer goods sector led six decliners with 2.41%, dragged by Americana which lost 7.41%.
The market’s turnover shrank to KWD 3.88 million, which is the lowest level since October 2016, on Tuesday from KWD 4.36 million in the previous session, and the trading volume decreased to 19.46 million shares from 25.53 million.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 1.89 million shares were traded, closing at 148 fils.
Zain posted the highest liquidity of about KWD 666,260.
