Kuwait – Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait edged up 0.04% or 2.72 points to close Wednesday at 6,779.44 points.
Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.11% and 0.30%, respectively.
The consumer services segment topped gainers with 3.10%, backed by Eyas which rose by 7.69%.
Meanwhile, the consumer goods sector led six decliners with 1.17%, dragged by Livestock and Americana which retreated 2.22% and 1.60%, respectively.
The market’s liquidity grew to KWD 6.32 million on Wednesday from KWD 3.88 million in the previous session, and the trading volume increased to 37.27 million shares from 19.46 million.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 7.51 million shares were exchanged at a value of KWD 1.12 million, rising 1.35%.
