Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session in the green zone collectively for the first session since 11 September amid active trades.
The price index edged up 0.06% or 4.04 points to close the session at 6,768.74 points.
The weighted index gained 0.74% to close at 432.9 points, and the Kuwait-15 index was up 0.73%.
The banks segment topped six gainers with 1.03%, backed by AUB which levelled up 2.6%.
The financial services sector was up 0.56%, pushed by the 14.75% rise of Tamdeen Investment which was the top winner.
Meanwhile, the consumer services segment led four decliners with 2.06%, dragged by Jiyad Holding Co which fell by 19.9% to be the top loser.
Boursa Kuwait’s liquidity increased by 34.3% to KWD 20.34 million on Wednesday compared to KWD 15.15 million in the previous session, as the trading volume grew by 32% to 118.18 million shares from 89.83 million.
Zain recorded the highest turnover of KWD 3.68 million, rising 1.37%.
Privatization Holding was the most active stock on which 12.31 million shares were traded, closing at 60 fils.
