Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session 0.19% or 13.23 points higher at 6,845.76 points.
The weighted index levelled up 0.14% or 0.57 points to close at 417.6 points, while the Kuwait-15 index retreated 0.07% or 0.65 points to close at 952.95 points.
The Kuwait-15 index may witness a profit-taking trend, as it has achieved its target at 955 points, then declined on Wednesday in line with lower liquidity, capital market analyst Nasser Khamees told Mubasher.
The oil and gas segment topped eight gainers with a rise of 2%, backed by Napesco which rose by 5.3%.
Meanwhile, the industrial segment led four decliners with 0.7%, dragged by UPAC which lost 7.14%.
The market’s trading value shrank by 31.3% to KWD 16.85 million on Wednesday from KWD 24.52 million in the previous session, after the trading volume increased to 148.3 million shares from 126.61 million.
Abyar was the most active stock on which 20.62 million shares were exchanged, rising 3.64%.
Al Imtiaz recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 2.53 million, falling by 0.59%.
