Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session with a mixed performance; the price index edged down 0.04% or 2.56 points to 6,918 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.24% and 0.18%, respectively.
The insurance segment led eight decliners with 0.86%, dragged by Kuwait Insurance which lost 6.14%.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector topped three gainers with 0.29%, backed by Marakez which rose 10.69% to be the top winner.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank to KWD 9.65 million on Wednesday compared to KWD 18.29 million in the previous session, as the trading volume decreased to 52.49 million shares from 87.23 million.
Kuwait Real Estate was the most active stock on which 5.1 million shares were exchanged.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 2.2 million, rising 0.81%.
