Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s session with a mixed performance; the price index edged up 0.2% or 12.9 points to 6,626.12 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.34% and 0.52%, respectively.
The oil and gas segment topped five gainers with 3.7%, backed by Napesco and The Energy House which levelled up 8.32% and 3.29%, respectively.
The industrial sector also gained 1.22% in line with Nafais which surged 20% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the real estate segment led six decliners with 0.8%, dragged by Alargan International which dropped 18.29% to head the losers.
The banks sector edged down 0.31%, dragged by Burgan which lost 1.4%.
Boursa Kuwait’s trading volume shrank by 50.1% to KWD 13.99 million on Wednesday compared to KWD 28.05 million in the previous session, after the trading volume decreased by 45.7% to 81.87 million shares from 145.88 million.
Zain recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 4 million, up 0.2%.
Investors was the most active stock on which 15.75 million shares were traded, falling 8.6%.
