Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s session with a mixed performance; the benchmark price index edged down 0.04% or 2.76 points to 6,229.21 points.
The Kuwait-15 index retreated 0.15%, while the weighted index gained 0.03%.
The consumer services segment led seven decliners with 0.96%, dragged by Muntazahat which lost 6.5%.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector topped three gainers with 2%, backed by Viva which added 3.7%.
Tamkeen Holding, listed on the Parallel Market, dropped 14.22% to be the top loser, while Remal topped winners with 16.8%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank by 31.3% to KWD 10.29 million on Wednesday compared to KWD 14.98 million in the previous session, after the trading volume decreased by 23.3% to 45.88 million shares from 59.8 million.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 2.15 million, falling 0.14%.
Aayaan Leasing was the most active stock on which 3.41 million shares were traded, down 1.86%.
