Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended Thursday’s trading session in the green zone in line with a mixed performance of sectors.
The price index went up 0.41% or 27.31 points to close at 6,767.04 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.65% and 1.06%, respectively.
The oil and gas sector topped six gainers with 4.45%, while the insurance segment led three decliners with a fall of 1.37%.
The real estate segment levelled up 1% on the back of Aayan Real Estate, which rose by 6.67% in line with the disclosure of 1.5% growth in profits during fiscal year 2016.
The market’s turnover shrank to KWD 22.16 million from KWD 32.27 million, as trading volume decreased to 274 million shares from 294.6 million.
Investors Holding Group Company was the most active stock on which 34.92 million shares were traded. The stock went up 5.26%.
Al Imtiaz recorded the highest trading value of KWD 3.03 million.
