Boursa Kuwait indices fall at Thursday’s close

Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session 1.32% or 89.01 points lower at 6,679.73 points.

Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices levelled down 0.51% and 0.48%, respectively.

The main index is moving in a positive way on the medium term; however, it tends to negativity on the short term as a sign of correction, capital market analyst Hassan Al Kandry told Mubasher.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank by 9% to KWD 18.51 million on Thursday compared to KWD 20.34 million on Wednesday, after the trading volume decreased by 29.6% to 83.2 million shares from 118.18 million.

The healthcare segment led ten decliners with 10.3%, while the financial services and consumer goods sectors were the only gainers with a rise of 0.47% and 0.17%, respectively.

REAM led losers with a decline of 20%, while Umm Al Qaiwain General Investment Co topped the winners with a gain of 19.2%.

Zain recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 3.66 million, falling 0.97%.

Privatization Holding was the most active stock on which 9.37 million shares were traded, rising 2%.
