Boursa Kuwait indices fall collectively early Thursday

Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait started Thursday in the red zone after its benchmark price index retreated 0.74% or 46 points to reach 6,134.14 points, while the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices inched down 0.84%, and 0.08%, respectively.

By 9:47 am Kuwait time, the telecommunications sector fell 2.7% as National Mobile Telecommunications’ (Ooredoo) stock slid 12.5%, and  Kuwait Telecommunication Co’s (Viva) stock lost 1.2%.

The banks sector shed 0.5% after the stocks of Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK), and Gulf Bank of Kuwait (GBK) went down 7.05%, and 2.07%, respectively.

 Warba Insurance Company’s stock was the worst performer with 19.7%, whereas Kuwait Syrian Holding’s stock surged 12.33%.

Boursa Kuwait’s trading volume amounted to 18.2 million shares, through 910 transactions, with a liquidity of KWD 3.6 million.

Kuwait Finance House’s (KFH) stock, led the bourse in terms of traded volume after 2.35 million shares were exchanged, generating KWD 1.23 million, after growing 0.58% to reach 524 fils.
