Kuwait – Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait’s indices declined collectively in May as the market capitalisation lost KWD 350 million.
The benchmark price index fell 0.84% or 57.64 points to the level of 6785.37 points, compared to 6843.01 points in April.
The weighted and Kuwait-15 indices also shrank 0.94% and 0.39%, respectively.
The market capitalisation decreased in May to KWD 27.66 billion from KWD 28.01 billion in April.
Turnover dropped 41.9% to KWD 300.7 million, compared to KWD 517.5 million in April.
Trading volume also retreated in May 54.2% to 2.7 billion shares from 5.90 billion shares exchanged during April.
The number of transactions amounted to 75,400 in May, 34.9% down from 115,900 transactions in April.
