Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait lost 0.29% or 20.22 points to reach 6,762.86 points on Wednesday mid-session, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.24% and 0.59%, respectively.
By 10:40am Kuwait time, the market’s turnover amounted to KWD 10.9 million after 91.2 million shares were exchanged through 2,580 transactions.
The oil and gas segment levelled up 2.8%, on the back of Napesco which gained 9.6% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the insurance sector led the decliners with a fall of 1.8%, dragged by First Takaful and Wethaq which lost 7.35% and 5.26%, respectively.
Gulf Franchising was the top loser with a drop of 8.77% to 52 fils.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 10.51 million shares were exchanged at a value of KWD 1.83 million. The stock retreated by 2.27%.
