Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session with a mixed performance; the benchmark price index edged down 0.05% or 3.3 points to 6,654.55 points.
Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices added 0.2% and 0.12%, respectively.
Banks topped six gainers with 0.9%, backed by Boubyan Bank which rose by 2.4%.
Meanwhile, telecom companies led four decliners with 1.5%, dragged by Viva and Zain which lost 2.84% and 0.86%, respectively.
Kuwait and Middle East Financial Investment (KMEFIC) was the top winner with 15.38%, while United Projects Company for Aviation Services (UPAC) led losers with 19.29%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover shrank by 34.3% to KWD 11.52 million on Thursday compared to KWD 17.52 million in the previous session after the trading volume shrank by 35% to 72.31 million shares from 111.32 million.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 1.9 million. The stock went up by 0.81%.
Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 15.7 million shares. The stock added 1.9%.
