Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session with a mixed performance; the benchmark price index lost 0.37% or 24.6 points to 6,662.35 points.
Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices added 0.11% and 0.39%, respectively.
Consumer goods companies led six decliners with 2.24%, followed by the real estate and banking segments with a drop of 0.8% and 0.02%, respectively.
Meanwhile, technology companies topped four gainers with 2%, followed by the basic materials sector which added 1.7%.
IFA Hotels was the top winner with 8%, while Hilal Cement led the losers with 20%.
Boursa Kuwait’s trading value shrank by 27.1% to KWD 9.08 million on Thursday compared to KWD 12.46 million in the prior session after the trading volume decreased by 4.7% to 45.62 million shares from 47.86 million.
The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest turnover of KWD 2.13 million. The stock added 1.3%.
Jiyad was the most active stock on which 4.01 million shares were exchanged. The stock went down 1.72%.
