Kuwait - Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended Tuesday’s session with a mixed performance in line with the market’s highest trading activity in a month.
The price index levelled up 1.17% or 78.83 points to close at 6,790.83 points, as the weighted index gained 0.14% and Kuwait-15 index dropped 0.23%.
The trading volume increased to 518.4 million shares, and turnover grew to KWD 50.4 million.
The financial services sector topped eight gainers with 2.50%, on the back of Al Salam which rose 10% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector led three decliners with 1.22%, dragged by Ooredoo and Zain which retreated by 4.84% and 4.44%, respectively.
Gulf Franchising led losers with a decline of 8.62%.
Abyaar was the most active stock on which 55.7 million shares were exchanged, rising 8.20%.
Zain recorded the highest trading value that stood at KWD 12.4 million, falling by 4.44%.
